Does this model have auto shut off?

No it does not have auto shutoff. You cannot tell from the box or the manual (since the manual is generic and covers a large number of models). I called the manufacturer. They said if you cannot see a clock on the front of the coffee maker, then it won't have an auto shutoff. I sent it back since I know I will often forget to shut it off.

Does this coffe maker have the possibility of putting in a permanent filter ?

Yes, they have Mr Coffee Basket-Style Gold Tone Permanent Filters usually right next to these in stores, and as a suggested "frequently bought together" item here on amazon.

No, this coffee pot does not have an automatic shut off if left on. It has to be turned off manually. This can be a problem since it is easy to forget to shut it off.
