My cat has a fondness for creating his own toys (pens, rubber bands) and a disdain for almost any toy I buy him! I was looking for something to keep him engaged while I was gone. In that sense, it does not work very well, since he does not really play with it in my absence (I know that because the feather is not ripped off the gizmo). He DOES however, love to play with it when I'm around! He is 13, and is not impressed by many toys. He is not a fan of lasers so much since there is nothing to catch and maul. I'll turn this on while I'm making dinner, and he likes to sit under it and let the feather brush his head. The he'll roll over and ATTACK! He is very fierce, and usually "kills" the toy shortly by pulling the arm off of the base. When He's particularly feisty, he'll pull the feather ball off of the arm. I am very pleased with the construction. It's durable, the feathers don't pull out, and it's really designed to be attacked and pulled apart (and put together very easily). Also, it doesn't seem to run out batteries, even though I've left it on for two hours several times. Also, if you leave it on the low setting, it's very quiet. The higher setting is louder, but not bothersome. This is a great toy for cats who need something to sink their teeth into.

My cat has an unhealthy obsession with this toy, so think twice before purchasing. A little background, I purchased this toy for my two 11 month old kittens. I have one cat that constantly wants to play, specifically chasing her favorite leather belt around (I am not sure why she is obsessed with the leather belt but she is) she constantly begs for it. The other cat loves to play fetch, and will honestly play with just about anything. Both cats are so affectionate and love being with us. I originally intended this toy for my female cat as she constantly begs us to play with her leather belt, and I figured this would entertain her, seeing as she can chase it around and it's less work for me. She could honestly care less about this toy. My male cat on the other hand, this is the only thing he can think about for the past 5 days since I received it. We wake up in the morning, he bangs his paw against it and cries for me to turn it on. I get home from work, more begging. Cries for me to follow him to this toy. I walk near the toy and he comes sprinting out of no where with loud meows. He spends all day next to this thing even when it's off. He no longer wants to snuggle, or play fetch, just wants to chase this dumb toy around. I have only had it 5 days, and the feathers are completely gone, so I do not rank durability of this product very high. But alas, my cat will still chase around the plastic nub. It's a great toy if you're okay with your cat potentially developing an unhealthy obsession.... But I am not sure if it's the toy for us.

My cat loves this thing! I've bought several different toys for her in the past, and she's never really shown much interest in them...she'd rather play hockey with my girlfriend's elastic hair bands and my son's Nerf gun bullets. But this thing is worth every penny. She sat there the first time I turned it on and watched it for a minute, but after it came around and smacked her in the face a couple times, it was ON! She loves it. The timer adds alot more battery life since you can just 'set it and forget it' , even if you're leaving the house. The arm actually screws on and has yet to even come close to coming off. And the thing that I ready like the most is that the feather is attached to the arm by a thin STEEL cable, so there's NO chance of it getting snapped or chewed off. And when she does manager to catch it, the motor seems really strong and you can tell that it was made with that in mind knowing that it would happen pretty often. And with the 'out riggers' that fold out, she's yet to tip it over even once...and she gets pretty rowdy with it. This is probably the best, and by far, the most well made cat toy I've ever seen. A must for any cat owner.

Last purchased May 15, 2025 Style: Loco Motion | Unit Count: 1 at first, this toy was AMAZING! Both kitties absolutely loved it! It's been just over a month, and the motor has slowed down tremendously, to the point that it barely works. We would let the kitties play with it for 15-30 minutes a day, almost every day. The first time we put batteries in it, the screw covering the battery area stripped, so changing batteries has been a pain. It killed 4 sets of batteries in the 1.5 month we've had it. The 2nd most recent battery replacement was about 2 weeks ago. So, I bought rechargable batteries for it. Now, with freshly charged batteries, it is barely moving even turned to max speed. Don't bother buying this toy, even though your kitties will love it....they won't be able to love it for very long.

I am returning this item and here's why: Pros: - Kept my active kitten entertained for the whole time and he never got bored with it Cons: - Quality: The idea behind this toy is great, but it wasn't implemented/engineered well: my kitten broke its plastic antenna on day 3. And I don't leave it for the whole day, he was playing for maybe 30 min at a time - Not sturdy enough: even with all 4 legs out my kitten kept knocking it over - 80% of feathers were gone in about 5 first minutes of playing - it requires 3 AA batteries (!!!) and per box only lasts 2 hours if it's on all the time. Imagine how many batteries you would need if this toy doesn't break on you and your cat really likes it Overall: great idea, but bad implementation

This cat toy by far outweighs ANY cat toy I’ve purchased!! My cats adore it and it truly DOES come on and off for hours!!! I literally just ordered my fourth one!! And it takes a beating… as one of my kitties drags it all over the house! lol And he meows every night until I turn it on!!

Not at all impressed with the design or quality of the item. 1) The motor is very loud. So much so that if you have a skittish cat, it's likely to run away from the thing the second you turn it on. That, and it's also quite annoying to hear the noise in the background when it is running. I eventually got my cat used to the noise, so he started playing with it (took about a week - had to let it run and lure him towards it with kitty treats). However, that led to issue 2... 2) Breaks easily. After a little more than a week, the on/off button stopped working while the device was on. In other words, it won't turn off now unless I remove the batteries (which require a screwdriver to get to). The cat was playing with it when it broke, but I can't imagine the cat broke it - even if he swatted at the button, it should be able to survive a cat. I can't give it 1 star because the cat did eventually have some fun with it while it worked. If the company put in a quieter motor and a better case, and it would be great. Unfortunately right now I can't recommend it.

We kept buying the Pet Links version and it wouldn't last a month. The insides of the toy (Pet Links) would wear out from the cats holding on to it and not letting go. The smarty cat loco has a built in clutch of sorts so that when the cat won't let go it just keeps "clicking" and will keep spinning once the cat lets go of it. Ours had locked up after a year of use with 4 cats on an Everyday basis and was used numerous times a day. I took it apart to find one of the plastic fins that makes up the clutch mechanism had jammed it up. I remove the piece and put it back together and it still works. Don't get me wrong, it has seen better days but still works and is by far better than any toy we have purchased out of Hundreds of dollar worth of toys. I 100% recommend this and in fact I came here to buy 2 more to keep on hand and put in various areas of the house, Cats do not like to share. P.S. If the wand on yours loses it feathers you can always add more. I have taken a label off of a water bottle and made a spiraled strip of plastic and tied it to the wand. Don't add to many things because the weight of it will kill the batteries quick. We also use rechargeable AA lithium batteries in all of our cat toys. The initial cost is expensive but they last forever. NiCad rechargeable batteries are junk and do not charge up enough to power the toys. We use Kentli lithium batteries that we bought here on amazon.

We were first sent the incorrect product (a massager instead of the cat toy) and contacted the seller. We received incredibly fast responses and service and were sent the correct product very promptly! Our cats seem to really like the toy and have a lot of fun with it, especially our youngest, more active cat!

Returned the product due to Gormless George being frightened. Bought another toy from Amazon so returned this one. The toy IS OK it's the moggy that is not. Amazon is OUTSTANDING. Returned on the Friday and my money was in my account on Saturday. So impressed - well done Amazon. xx

鳥の羽のおもちゃが好きな😻😽😹達ですが、回る時の音が気になるのか、 色々な場所で設置したりして工夫はしてみましたが、皆、興味示さず😭 遊んでくれにゃ〰️いので直していたら発見したらしく羽だけを食いちぎってボロボロ〰️😅 ハイ‼️終わり〰️😅 たまたまタイムセールで購入したのでまだ良かった🙆 で、なかったら結構高価なだけに、ショック😵💦のあまり、ち〰️～ん🛌🏥🚑️でした😇
