When I tell you that this cream calmed the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my life…. I have a lower leg wound with severely macerated (more like obliterated) skin with exposed tissue and nerve endings. I had natural childbirth. I passed a kidney stone I didn’t even know I had, sober and unmedicated. I had to have an emergency cholecystectomy due to gallstones. But any of these would be a walk in the park compared to the pain I’m assuming is from a thousand exposed nerves firing at the slightest thing. On a scale of 1-10, natural childbirth is a solid 10, all day. But exposed nerves pain? It’s not uncommon for the pain to shoot off the charts and stay there most of the day. It’s exhausting. Both physically AND mentally. That’s when it’s time for this cream to shine. This stuff WORKS. And it works fast. I think I read somewhere that it usually takes creams or sprays about 20-30 minimum to start working. This cream calms the nerves and numbs/dulls the pain within just a few minutes. Before I found this cream I tried several other lidocaine products and compared to other 5% products I’ve tried, this cream is hands down the best in its class. It’s light, absorbs quickly, doesn’t smell, and the absolute very best part is IT DOESN’T BURN OR STING AT ALL!! I recommend this cream to everyone, everywhere, for every reason. Disclaimer: I don’t think these creams are supposed to be applied to open wounds or large areas of broken skin but I’ve been using lidocaine products for months. I have not yet died from lidocaine toxicity, nor do I intend to. I’m not going out like that. Absolutely not.

I didn't buy this for hemorrhoids. I bought it because I have lupus sle. I'm on a new medication called Benlysta. It is a home injection. It hurts so bad. So I bought this to numb the area before the injection. This stuff made the injection way less painful, way less traumatic and way more tolerable. I highly recommend buying it for any topical numbing needs. It is non greasy and non sticky, it absorbs well. A little goes a long way and it lasts a while in terms of quantity and quality. It lasts a long time in numbing abilities. For 9$and what it does, an absolute steal. Always make sure you check with your doctor or pharmacist, but this is excellence in a tube. The amount in the tube is good too (quantity) because you really don't need a lot to accomplish numbing. I'm so impressed and plan on buying more.

The size of the bottle is great for the cost, easy to use, I wouldn't say much about absorption as I used it with a tuck pad and with it being a creamy it is little messy so can't tell if it's absorption is the best nor have tried any other brand or kind. Doesn't fully numb the greatest but it doesn't cause any skin irritation either. I have been applying it after using the bathroom about every 2 hours so the duration sometimes last and sometimes it seems not enough. Is worth a try rather than the expensive bottles only thing doesn't seem to numb enough and didn't want to go to the doctor and get something that would cost co-pay, script, and then possible referral for having to pay even more.

Does a great job numbing you

I carefully dabbed a bit of this on my husbands hammer toe and then waited 30 minutes so that I could gently get underneath the nail with a thin file enough to file the nail back and away from his toe. He has severe neuropathy in his feet so keeping his nails in good shape is critical to his wellbeing. He could definitely still feel it but a huge improvement over not using it. I tried last week and he absolutely could not handle the pain. This will be a small game changer in our lives.

I used this prior to having laser hair removal of my upper legs. Usually it’s excruciating for me to the point of literally crying, as if a hot fireplace poker is being dragged up the back of my thighs. The tech recommended 2 brands of numbing cream. I tried both and they barely took the egde off. With this Wellmate cream it goes on more like a moisturizer cream. The other brands were like a gel, that just sits on the skin. My legs get kind of dry in winter so I rubbed some in, let it absorb 10 mins then glopped some more on heavy. I wrapped my legs in plastic wrap and let it sit for an hour before my appointment. I could immediately feel the difference as I wiped the cream off my legs. My skin was truly numb. For once, the tech didn't have to keep stopping the treatment to put an ice pack on my legs. (That cryo from the laser device is just not enough!) I am so pleased with the results. I rarely write reviews but I knew I had to write one for this stuff. It’s amazing. I’m so happy.

Takes awhile to work, had to use saran wrap to keep it moist for waxing. Not recommended for pre-tattoo just because how oily it is, had to be completely washed off before waxing.
