This is the second time I bought this pen. The first one lasted for at least a year and was still good to write or draw with, before I dropped it on the floor and broke the nib :( The ink (I used my own ink) flows well in general but sometimes it doesn’t write during the first stroke after some time of me holding it in the air. might be because of my weak hands or it dried a little, works better when I pushed it down more or shakes it up and down a bit. There’s no worry once the ink starts to flow, I can write smoothly without any force with the nib just touching the paper. I also recommend doing some scribble on the side to prep it. I have no idea how long it can last being not used, because I use it a lot and I always clean it for summer breaks. The outer case is very pretty and practical with an interesting texture that’s better than smooth plastic. My last one didn’t change much on the outside during the year I used it, but the part when I hold it got somewhat eroded on the surface and is no longer gold in color. To be fair, i was using it every day for math homework as a college student (a lot of scrap paper used) and the rate of erosion is similar to other fountain pens I have. The discoloration is not affecting the writing experience in anyway. In general, this is a very good pen. I will use it to write college notes and math and thermo homework.

This is a snazzy little pen that writes surprisingly well and comes in great colors; I wish it came in more colors! I now have three to match various notebooks. I ordered one to match my day planner and one to match a planner I gave as a gift that could not exceed $25. I am ordering another one just because I want it! I have several good fountain pens at much higher prices and status levels but this little jewel is just plain fun, starts easily and writes great every time! BTW, it comes with cartridges and a converter. A bargain!

This pen has to be the best writing experience ever. I finally made the decision to stop using ballpoint gel pens and this was a great switch. I like the idea of getting my favorite ink, fill the converter and write in my signature color. The writing is smooth and controlled. The weight and balance are matched so not to give you hand fatigue. I love this pen and will be buying one in purple.

Update with suggestions: So I have been playing around with this pen, trying different ways to get it to work more consistently. I was able to find a good way to make it work much better. So I turned the pen upside down, leaving it this way overnight. The next time I used it the next morning, it was able to write almost perfectly. There was only once it skipped, though I wouldn't call it a true skip as it was just the beginning of a single letter. For this, I turned the pen ever so slightly, and the problem was corrected. Now I will say that that night, it did the same thing again, but I repeated the process and it worked as intended. I am leaving my pen in the spirals of my book that I am using it in, attaching it at the bottom upside down. I would still recommend this pen. As I said before, it is beautiful and writes well. The customer service is wonderful. They listen and advise with the knowledge that they have in understanding each situation. I want to give my honest opinion about this fountain pen. I have one from another company and wanted this one for another book to fit into the spiral bindings. It is thin enough to do that. I was pleased with the casing of the pen, thinking that the texture was going to be much more rough. Pleasantly it was not. I did love it...till I started to write with it. This is the down side of this pen. I had first tried the refillable cartridge with ink that I had for this pen. It wrote...then skipped writing to where I had to go back and retrace several letters in a row. The next night, I switched to the prefilled cartridges that were sent with it. Still skipped, though not as much. I held it at different angles, twisted it slightly to see if that would help. It did only for so long. I wanted so badly for this pen to work because I loved the color and comfort that it had, but since the nib is seemingly to be iffy, I will not be using this pen as much as I wanted to...if at all.

If you're seeking an inexpensive yet premium everyday fountain pen, this is an absolute must-have. Being a typical-sized pen, the build quality is excellent, with a perfect weight and balance for comfortable, all-day note-taking. I love the incredibly smooth, scratch-free nib and consistent ink flow. It's the ideal workhorse for both the office and personal journaling.

This pen is awesome. I have bought 2 more and they have such a smooth feel. The ink flow is steady and is not blochy.

Beautiful color (I ordered purple with gold trim), feels heavy and quality, writes like a dream. I adore fountain pens, and I have an ultra fine point one that I use for pen and ink art. This beauty, however, is for writing and you'd almost swear you're using a ball point pen, it writes so smoothly! I absolutely love it, and the price was certainly very reasonable. RECOMMEND!

I like the pen and the flow is great! But when I got the package the outer and inner box we smashed on one corner. It looked like it happened prior to packaging. Plus it came with a second nib and the tip is severely bent and unusable. I also wish there were colored ink cartridges to buy. The packaging for the cartridges doesn't even tell you the size in case you want refills down the road. I had to drop my rating due to that and it would be nice if I could get nib replacement. Pen quality is more like 4 and nib on pen is great and great flow.
