Python Aquarium Replacement Pump

Bought to replace the original one.Very pleased with purchase price,nearly half of other prices quoted.

I originally built a third party python system with the intention of upgrading the parts to genuine python parts. When my blue tap accessory started to leak I grabbed a genuine python part. It leaks worse than the third party product, filled my tank so slowly an a 30% water change it shocked 3 fish into dying. Not happy at all with pythons QC. I’m sure I probably just got a bad batch, but lost 3 fish because of it. In the bin now and I’m using my leaky 3rd party product

I bought my python back in the early 1990s. While typing that made me feel very very old. This product is incredible and has lasted me a long, long time. It would’ve been fine except I dropped it onto my bathroom tile and it cracked. Totally my fault and I’ve done this. I don’t know how many times through the years was surprised that it broke this time. This replacement was very similar. It has all the same features. It it felt a little lighter. And it is just like everything else in life they don’t make them like they used to It works great. It’s still a terrific product however, I noticed that until it breaks in it was a bit harder to get it to go from suction to film mode. I’ve been using it for a couple months and it’s gotten better but at first, I noticed a distinct difference between my while broken and model and this one. I expect this one to last just as long, and hopefully I won’t have to buy this for another couple decades I do water changes weekly. I have over a dozen tanks. I do half on week one and the following week. I do the other half but it’s kind of my weekly ritual to do this so the product has been very well used in the last couple months since I got it, I was reviewing something else and saw that this had not been reviewed so I felt I had a shout out how great this thing is.
