Hunger Games - Tome 1 [ edition poche ] (French Edition)

Love it. I am learning French and i got the audio file off of audible to go along with this and it is perfect. The letters are a good larger size and it is just a wonderful read. I have definately progressed with this!

I was able to order the French edition at a reasonable price. quickly delivered and what I had anticipated: a new paperback edition.

I received this book very quickly and it was perfect. My daughter is enjoying reading it in French.

This would be an almost perfect score if the voice actor didn’t occasionally use a different recording to yell into the mic or whatever. The voice actor will yell something like “prim!” That clearly wasn’t edited to the same volume as the rest of the reading and will make you jolt when she does it. Also the voice actor reads all the parts of the characters but will have a different voice for Effie that just takes away from the reading. Could be perfect if the reader just stuck to reading it, or if the audio engineer would level match the random parts they toss into it.

Je n'ai pas vu les films, mais le premier tome m'a envoutée!

So great to be able to read this in French and understand it. Of course the French/English dictionary on the Kindle is invaluable and I couldn't have managed without it. I started off by checking loads of words against the dictionary and as I progressed, I gradually had to ask for fewer and fewer words to be translated. I found that using the dictionary too much really slowed down the Kindle after a while though which was annoying and it continued to be slow until it cleared the problem itself with an automatic re-set. A good read, although it took me 3 times as long to read it as I would an English book. But hey, I'm learning ...!
