Also great for putting gun back in case before the suppressor has cooled off. Great cover and would highly recommend. Review: Melted Velcro straps after my third time using! - Updated review - Bought this for my SilencerCo Omega on my DDM4 V7 shooting .556 ammo. The third time I used this cover, I shot ~140 rounds through it. I would shoot about 1 magazine (30 rd) through it, then let it cool off while my friend shot his gun. The last magazine was a 60 rd drum. Did not shoot rapid fire, just was shooting target in slow fire method. Noticed a burning smell and then noticed the cover beginning to smoke. The middle and end (closest to barrel) Velcro strap completely melted. Description says it is not rated for rapid fire, but apparently is not rated for slow fire either. I would not recommend unless you only are going to shoot about 1 magazine through it at a time on the range. Should hold up and last longer for the price in my opinion.

Use it correctly
Per the instructions on Silencerco's website, you can ONLY FIRE ONE 30 ROUND MAG, WAIT A MINIMUM OF 1 MINUTE, FIRE ANOTHER 30 ROUND MAG, WAIT A MINIMUM OF 1 MINUTE, FIRE ONE LAST 30 ROUND MAG. THAT IS WITH THE HIGH TEMP SUPPRESSOR COVER WHICH THIS IS NOT. This cover is not the high temp cover so it is not made to handle 90 rounds without substantial down time. These covers are for keeping the mirage down during duty use. Not for range work where your running and gunning mag after mag. If your doing that, you will melt any cover. Each round heats up your suppressor 7 degrees. Used correctly, the cover works well. I would recommend the HIGH TEMP COVER.

This thing is junk. Melted the first time using it. If I could give it negate star sit would be -5 stars.
