Haier 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner - QHEK12AC

I'm going to keep this simple. I have a 60-year-old single wide mobile home that is not sealed the best. Furthermore, I also live in Florida, and it is currently the hottest month of the year 95 to 100 degrees daily. I wanted to stress test it just to see what it can do, so I opened every single door in the house and ran it for 24 hours at max on its own. This thing has cooled my house far better than anything I have ever owned, that includes when I once had a central ac system. Anyway I run 2 AC's this one at the front of the house and a Home Depot one in the back of the house, and that setup works wonderfully for me. All in all this thing is a beast, the only minor complaint is it is a bit noisy, but that is a small price to pay for the power this thing has.

Best a/c unit I have ever owned. It's not loud but it's not the most quiet a/c that is out there. The compressor is very quiet and the fan makes the most noise. I never could get it to connect with the wifi app but it runs 24 hours a day and is not needed. The air flow is so good that there aren't any hot spots in the room. My electric bill has gone down a little since putting it in. I run my a/c at 68 all day and sleep at 67 degrees. The room is around 215 square feet with a 60 square foot restroom for a total of 275 square foot area space. The remote is very handy with the large buttons. I like how the display fades out after a minute so the room isn't lit up keeping you awake all night. Another good feature is if the power goes out the a/c is suppose to come back on where it was set when power is restored.

from their description, its "14-1/2 H x 19 W x 19-13/16 D" The listing should be 14-1/2" Height x 20-3/16" Width x 19 Depth" Typically, those are listed as seen from the FRONT of the machine, not the side. The 19 13/16 Depth is actually the width, and is actually more like 20-3/16. This is a pretty critical dimension to screw up. I nearly had to send it back as its going in to a shed with an existing hole in the wall for a cooler that died. Update: I've had this thing installed for a couple days now. It works decent IF IT WORKS! The thermostat control is useless. I have a thermometer hanging on the wall about 5 feet from the cooler. I can kick the cooler on, it will cool the room nicely to the set temp, then it seems to kick on and off to hold that temp as expected until it doesn't. it will at random intervals just not kick on. If its set to 68 degrees, it will kick on and off to hold that for a few hours, then it suddenly will let the room get hotter. I'm talking 77 degrees, and it still didn't kick on. Then I go bump it down to 67, and then it does it all over again. If you're relying on this to keep a room cool, look somewhere else. This unit will fail.

Plenty of cooling power for my small one room apartment. Installed by bldg. maintainence department it cranks out a lot more cold air than the old a/c which could only keep small area cool. Good value for the money and has 8000BTU output for up to 350 sq. ft. Lets you know when filter needs changing. Convenient remote control and Wi Fi capable on smartphone though I don't use that feature. Has temperature control with digital display. No problems so far.

My wife and I decided to buy another Haier A/C unit because the smaller one in our bedroom works so well,easy to clean and is rather quiet. That unit has a remote control also. The one you want to hear about,well this thing kicks out the cool air quietly! The digital display is large enough to see from anywhere in the room. Oh,if you want really cold air,you can easily have that too! Our house was built in 1900. No insulation to speak of and our living room has 8' 8" ceiling. This unit kicks out nice cold air. The remote is ergonomically designed; it fits comfortably in your hand. My wife has arthritis so it's nice to see that this company is thinking about these things. Unit arrived at my doorstep a day early. Box was is pristine condition. Using this unit to replace Midea Unit. Once installing Unit, which was very easy,( it did take 2 people, and I would recommend getting the support bracket for outside of house ), I plugged in the unit...and it was a night and day difference. The Smart WiFi app works like a charm and is very east to set up. Blows cols cold cold. I actually had to put a light long sleeved shirt on while in living room. It was 97° outside temp. Auto Econo settings work perfectly as do all the other settings. 100% recommend to all. My home is around 1000 Sq ft. And I have only ran this Unit which cools all of home. 12000 btu.

I enjoy everything that it dos.. the size is perfect for my window. The quality and fit and finish is the BEST.. it is energy efficient and it blow cold air amazingly.. my electric bill did not go crazy like my other air conditioner.. I just have no words on how satisfied with everything about the HAIER..I recommended it to all my friends..I want to thank everyone who made my HAIER.. Everything was put together professionally and with care..

Our log cabin getaway in the mountains of the NW is a little peace of heaven, but it was 92 degrees inside (hot as H-E-double hockey sticks!) inside 92 when it was 100+ outside. We comparison-shopped on Amazon and the Haier Window Air Conditioner (12000 BTU 115V) was one of the handful of AC units that fit a small/narrow window for the best cooling options. Directions were easy to follow and installation was reasonably simple given no prior experience. Within a couple of hours the temp in our 440-square-foot space was down to a much more comfortable 75 degrees. We could stay at our cabin and enjoy being there even when it was crazy hot outside this past summer. Excellent choice for us!!
