Great lighting, easy modification to fixtures
The LED tubes work very well. I was able to modify the light fixtures within a few minutes. Just clip the wires on the ballast, and attach a black wire to one end and a white wire to the other end using the existing wire nuts. I removed the ballast, but it could have stayed in the fixture. The tubes shipped had rotatable ends, although they were not advertised to be rotatable. This is a big plus! Because the lighting is directional, it was great to be able to aim the lighting to make it just right. The product description says that the lighting angle is 240 degrees. This is a wide angle, and being able to rotate the lighting assures that it goes where you want it to go. These tubes are 11 3/4" long. There is another product that is slightly longer. Apparently, lighting fixtures for the tubes can be either length. I discovered that the tombstone ends on my fixtures are mounted with a metal end bracket that is easily bent slightly one way or another to accommodate both lengths. I bent my tombstone brackets just a tiny bit to make them slightly closer together to assure a good contact. I was trivial to do, and took only a few seconds. The resulting lighting is far better than we had with the original fluorescent tubes in coverage and brightness. Also, it eliminated the annoying delay when turning on fluorescent lights.

Excellent T5 Led Tubes
We purchased the 12" and the 21" T5 LED tubes at 3000K to replace existing 3000K fluorescent tubes. The quality of these tubes is excellent. The tubes' light output in lumens is just right - it closely matches the lumen output of the fluorescent tubes. And the color of the light is just right too. In addition, the tubes can be rotated to focus the light in different directions. Retrofitting the existing fluorescent fixtures to accept the LED tubes was extremely easy because one is just removing ballasts/starters to connect the tubes directly to A/C power. You can't go wrong getting these LED tubes.

The installation is pretty easy once you understand that the US does not have a national color code for cables and wires.
Customer service was great. I had to call them because the wires have odd colors in my building, and I needed help to figure out which of my wires would be the hot one, which the ground, etc. It was easier and cheaper then make the trip to the hardware store to get a tester. Arthur was just wonderful: called back a few minutes after I left a message on the provided phone (it is his mobile.) Smart, polite, patient with this old lady. Remuving the ballast takes one minute. My under the cabinet fixtures house two tubes each, so I had to be taught how to connect them in parallel. With Arthurs explanation, it took 5 minutes at most. The light of these LED tubes is bright but still pleasing to the eye. I am going to substitute one of this LED tubes for two of the old flourescents under my kitchen cabinets. I will stll have brighter, better light. Super.

Efficient upgrade for florescent fixture
The LED replacement bulb worked great in my old florescent under-cabinet fixture. This bulb comes with instructions that have you disable/remove the ballast and starter from the fixture, so it's kind of a one way upgrade. If you don't feel comfortable turning off your breaker and re-wiring a fixture, it could be expensive to have an electrician do this. I'd love to see a LED tube that could drop-in to the fixture, fake out the starter, and accept the ballast effects. Anyone could install that without the need for an electrician, and it would be a really simple upgrade and allow rollback to florescent if desired. The tube seems to have all the LEDs pointing in the same direction, and has an aluminum back, so light does not exit evenly all the way around the bulb. That would be less trouble if the ends could pivot 90 degrees and allow getting the light to point the way you want it to. Color (temp) was similar to florescent, brightness is very similar to the previous florescent tube, and I see no flickering. Starts instantly without the clicks that the florescent starter used to do. Overall I'm really pleased and would definitely do this upgrade again.

The retrofit was doable, but not exactly easy
The retrofit was doable, but not exactly easy. It took me some time, plus a trip to the hardware store for wire butt splices. For some existing wire lengths, there wasn't enough slack to use a wire nut. Also, the "warm white" light wasn't as warm as expected. I'm sure it's the correct color temperature. It's just that I remember the cool white bulb that I replaced being more or less the same. That said, this was the only place I could find this specialty bulb, and the rotatable end was a real bonus since my fixture is mounted on a vertical surface inside a display cabinet. Installation details: You’ll need to modify your existing fluorescent fixture, which typically includes a ballast, starter, and tube. The retrofit involves removing the ballast and starter from the circuit entirely. You then connect the AC power lines (which originally fed the ballast/starter) directly to the tombstone connectors that hold the bulb. These connections feed AC into the bulb’s internal LED driver, which converts it to DC and powers the LEDs. Important wiring note for multiple bulbs: If you're installing more than one bulb in a shared fixture, pay close attention to orientation. While the bulbs themselves aren’t polarized, improper alignment can lead to both ends of each tube becoming "live" with opposing charges. To stay safe, align all bulbs the same way and make sure the neutral side connects to the wider blade of a standard two-prong plug, with the hot side to the narrow blade.

Bright soft light output
I replaced my annoying 4100K fluorescent undercounter lights with these soft beautiful 3000K LED lights, and couldn't be more pleased. The fluorescent lights were too bright and blue, and the glare reflecting off the stone hurt my eyes. But these soft LED's are the perfect tone with plenty of brightness to boot. Rewiring the fixtures to bypass the ballast was no big deal, a few minutes each, and so worth it!!

but it’s easy.
Very bright. A bit cooler (bluer) than expected for the advertised temp. You have to rewire your existing fluorescent fixture, but it’s easy.
