fun to put together and looks nice as well
a bunch of small pieces so be careful. you may need some basic tools to put this together. it comes with 'tools' to help you put it together but they are not very strong or sturdy. not saying they were junk, but it was easier for me to use actual small tools to assemble. the finished project looks very nice and works well. i will probably buy more sets in the future. they were fun to build.

Some tips for this tedious build, rewarding when assembled
Here's some advice based on my first experience. It may not be helpful or appropriate for your build. Possible additional materials before you start: magnifying glasses older folks, like me), wood glue, "popsicle" stick, a small circle of parchment (silicone) baking paper and a rubber mallet. This is a challenging and tedious construction, but a good reward when completed. Strong fingers will help fabrication. The well-illustrated instructions have minimal written instructions. Read one or two instructions ahead. Frequently refer back to the key at the top of the instructions to understand the meaning of the shaded parts on the illustrations. There are helpful YouTube videos. Only the board is labeled with the part number. Therefore, don't pop-out the part before needed for assembly. Alternatively, lightly write their number on the part with a pencil. The kit warns that some beads don't fit tightly on a metal spindle. However, there are a few spare beads; try a spare before using the provided tape to make the spindle fit tightly. Wood, the main construction material of the pieces, is vulnerable to torsion (wiggling/twisting) -- it may break. Therefore, be careful when installing a piece -- tab into a slot. Thoughtfully, the kit has some spare parts for some of the fragile pieces (for example B2, C3, E2 and E10) Look for the spares before trying a repair with some glue and a "popsicle" stick as a backing. However, you probably can't satisfactorily repair by gluing some pieces that are large or are complex shape (for example E13 or C1). If you contact Robotime they may send a replacement part. If a tab does not solidly embed itself in a slot, use a tiny amount to glue in place, BUT be careful not to glue any moving part/gear. For example, because the assembled tower (B 4,5 and7) was loose in its slots, I glued it in place. I used a small piece of parchment paper to separate it from the gear (D1) so it would not be glued. Avoid using any tools when installing the pieces except when the instructions indicate, as these will likely gouge or break the piece you are working with. There are VERY rare exceptions that, for me, required a rubber mallet in order to hammer a piece in place (example, the rubber grommets P6). The completed kit is too fragile to give as a gift to a child.

Great quality and super fun!
I got this to build with my husband on Father's Day and I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy and well designed this was! It came with all the tools needed and extra parts just in case you need them. Usually for models like these I have to use glue to make the part stay together the way they are supposed to but the only time I had to use glue on this project was when my sausage finger broke one of the fine detail pieces at the end. It works great all put together and looks amazing. So much fun!

Awesome Build
Patience is key. Spacing is very important as well. Otherwise, very enjoyable build and the end product is awesome!

Why did I buy this
I keep buying this brand and I have yet to have one go smoothly. I keep giving them a chance but so far they have been pretty bad, in that a lot of the pieces break very easily and the little black spacers are the worst! I will say the seller did send a replacement when I had multiple important pieces break, the replacement didnt have as much breakage but pieces did still break. The movements were smooth. I do wish it had a little more details and interesting things. Some of the directions were pretty bad. I would probably pass on this set
