Solid twin bed for cabkn
Was a bit skeptical given the price point compared to others but I’m pleased with the end result. We’re using this in our cabin for our still growing kids. Seems sturdy enough. I’m not sure a XL is available but if you need a twin and have room to spare at the foot that may be a better choice for adults. Assembly was easy. Probably easier with 2 people but I was able to get it together as 1 person in about 90 minutes. You will definitely need a drill with a bit that fits the hex screws that come with it. Only other tool needed is a hammer. Hard to say if it would hold up to daily wear but for periodic use it seems great. I bought an Amazon basic 5” mattress foundation and a 6” mattress in a box to go with. Combined it comes just to the height of the footboard as you can see in the pics. Overall 4 stars, just a little downgrade due to the “nail and pray” nature of assembly. I think nail placement guides and a couple more support hardware pieces would make this 5 stars. Great value for sure.

Nice Looking Log Bed.
I've wanted a log bed since I was a kid and finally decided I'd get one and do a whole log cabin themed room. I am a pretty big guy (6' 260lbs). Been sleeping on this for a week now and it seems pretty solid. Overall it looks pretty nice. I do however have a few gripes. I know that some splitting was to be expected but I have 2 pieces that probably shouldn't have passed inspection. One of the main posts has splitting on the top and bottom but on the bottom the split goes more than half way into the log. I almost want to wrap some leather around the base of it to make sure it stays together. Another piece on the headboard has a big sliver of wood (about 1/4") inside of another split, that is about to break out. Might have to use some wood glue or filler to keep it in place. If you don't already have one, you'll probably want to buy yourself a non-marking rubber mallet to help you put this together. I also pre-drilled holes for the lag bolts as one needed to go right across that big split I mentioned. Afraid If I hadn't that log would've split even more.Overall this is probably the best your going to get for this good a price and it does look nice and it feels pretty solid but some of the parts shouldn't have passed muster.

Measure before you buy a mattress
There is only 11" between the rails and the bottom of the headboard....a mattress any taller than that will cover part of the headboard. Instead of a box spring & mattress, we screwed a sheet of plywood into the bed frame and put the mattress on top of it. Now the mattress is level with the bottom of the headboard. We ordered two beds; one had significant splitting but my husband wasn't concerned because he said it didn't degrade the integrity of the wood.

Twin Cedar Log Bed
I originally purchased a queen size last year. It was very difficult to put together. I had to use come a longs. But the price was too good to pass. So when I ordered two twins log beds for my boys, I was planning on a fight. It was a very pleasant surprise that both beds went together very quickly without taking any drastic procedures to get them together. If you are looking for high quality log beds, these are most likely not for you. They are made out of cedar, not maple or oak. But, for what you get for the price,,, is well worth it.

We love these beds
We love these beds. They are a little lower than I expected but for the kids but it turned out perfect. Standard mattress boxes (used to be box springs but there are no springs in them) are too big so I cut ours down so the mattress doesn't hide the whole bed. Another reviewer suggested staining the beds before assembly as they are just bare wood. We put a very light stain and a polycrylic protective coating. Its only been up a few weeks but they look great.

We love it
This bed is awesome! My husband wanted a log bed but I was nervous as some are too rustic for my taste. These being unfinished made it so I could make it our own design! I mixed a dark gray and dark brown stain and left the edges unfinished to keep the look of logs! Very easy to put together and great quality!
