5 stars is not enough stars for the Betty Crocker Cooky Book! My mom had this book and we grew up with her making some delicious cookies from it. Among them were Ethel’s Sugar Cookies, Chocolate Crinkles, Snickerdoodles and Peanut Butte Cookies. I was able to find a copy and bought it many years ago and continued the tradition with my boys. I just bought it for my daughter-in-law who loves to bake so she can enjoy the many cookie recipes as my mom and I. The recipes and pictures are awesome! This book is a treasure! So much nostalgia! They don’t make them like this anymore!

I’ve had the original of this cookie book since I was in high school. It was one of the things that we were given in the home economics class. Mine was old and tattered and I needed a new one and when I found this one I ordered it and it is perfect. It is exactly the same as the one that I had in high school. It’s wonderful.

My Mom had a version of this cookbook from when she married my Dad in the 70s & taught me to bake cookies using this cookbook. I bought my own copy in the mid-2000s when I moved out but it was ruined when the TX Winter Storm caused a water main & pipes to break. I ordered this cookbook again as I moved into a new apartment but I have it now on display in my new house. The recipes themselves are classic but my favorite part is that the recipes have stories about the inventions/creations of the cookies. A great addition to any cookbook library & I hope that I will not need to buy this one again but I so plan on buying additional Betty Crocker cookbooks to continue growing my cookbook collection.

Had this book growing up. All my favorite old cookies were in here. Gives me a chance to try the ones my family never made.

As an American girl growing up in the 1950s and 1960s, there were always fresh baked cookies in the kitchen! This cookbook includes all the American classics from Toll House Cookies to Snickerdoodles to Peanut Butter Cookies to Brownies! I have lived in the UK for a very long time, but there really is nothing in this country that compares to American style home-baked cookies!
