Strong and yet fairly light, takes a while to assemble.
This hauler seems to be a good quality item, but the assembly took me close to 20 hours because there are a lot of small bolts to attached the rail to the carrier - I wish these types of items would come more preassembled even though the box would be larger. The tie down rings seem a little light duty, I will probably strap the wheelchair to the frame of the carrier because it will hold better. The clamp to the carrier receiver is a good thing for stability. Overall 5 stars, good item, expect to invest time in assembly.

Lightweight Strength Meets Everyday Convenience
I recently purchased this aluminum wheelchair carrier, and it has been a total game-changer for my transportation needs. From the moment it arrived, I was impressed by its lightweight yet durable construction—aluminum makes it easy to handle without sacrificing strength. Installation was straightforward, and the included hardware made it a breeze to attach to my vehicle’s hitch. Once mounted, the platform felt incredibly secure. It easily accommodates my standard manual wheelchair, and the foldable ramp makes loading and unloading effortless—even solo. Here’s what I love most: • ✅ Rust-resistant and weatherproof – Perfect for Florida’s humid and rainy climate • ✅ Sturdy but lightweight – Easy to install or remove when not in use • ✅ Space-saving design – The ramp folds up neatly and doesn’t obstruct rear visibility • ✅ Safe and stable – Wheel stops and tie-down points give me peace of mind during transport I’ve used it on multiple trips now, and it has held up beautifully. No rattling, no shifting, and no signs of wear. If you’re looking for a reliable, lightweight, and easy-to-use wheelchair carrier, this aluminum model is absolutely worth the investment.

Time consuming
Simple to see how it goes together. Good thing because the instructions suck. Lots of hardware to install and bad access. Difficult getting screwdriver in to tighten the hardware. I would strongly suggest having two man crew to install. I am 73 and difficult walking and it took me over two days to complete but it was worth the effort. One bad thing is the bottom of the ramp it to high, apx. two inches and my electric wheelchair will not climb. I will have to add a two-inch ramp. One more bad thing is the fact that the spacing of the slats on the platform is 1.75" and on the Ramp 2.0" . When you run your electric chair up then when you start backing the front wheels will need to reverse direction and when they do that they will fall in the open space. I will add 1/8" X 27" X 47" aluminum with none skid strips. Add another 1.5 day for installation.

Great product.
Exactly what I needed. Works great. Easy to assemble, but takes a long time.

If everything I bought were this well made....!!
every pre-drilled hole lined up perfectly with the pieces meant to be bolted together. It was tedious bolting the floor deck to the top of the railing with multiple aluminum plates connecting the two, but I took my time and went inside to sit under a fan multiple times - so the process was totally painless. At 79 years of age, I was able to relatively easily lift the ramp/platform assembly into the 2" hitch receiver and attach it. I guided our electric wheelchair up the ramp with very little trouble (no wheels catching on the spaces between the "floorboards", etc.). It is functional and sturdy for wheelchair hauling. TOTALLY SATISFIED!

Silver spring.
Normally this would be an awesome product for the price. My only problem is that it was dented and scratched. But for the purposes I intend to use it it's ok. Great construction well made. I would recommend this one. It would have gotten 5 🌟 if not for the damage. Witch dosent affect the function.

Impossible to use
Even with a 6 in hitch drop, my powerchair is unable to go up the ramp. I've tried forward, backward, manual, and more. Nothing will get it up the ramp. The rack is also very flimsy and I question its sturdiness.

Must be able to put it together
It takes at least two people to put it together. Very nice looking ramp.
