I LOVE this puzzle. I bought one for my second grade classroom years ago and the children loved it. When I had my son, I knew I'd want one for him when the time came. My son is now about two and a half and loves doing this puzzle. He needed a little help in the beginning, but now he can pick out the appropriate pieces (three pieces for each individual puzzle) and connect them himself. He has such a feeling of pride when he puts one together and tells me what the picture is. He pushes the puzzle over to the side, then completes the next. Of course, he takes them all apart before I can get a picture of him with all of his handywork. I'd definitely recommend this puzzle. It's educational and fun and helps with motor skills.

Good concept but these letter pieces end up scattered all over the house. Maybe it's better for a kid older than my 3 year old.

Once again, Lakeshore Learning provides a winning tool for my 3 1/2 year old grand daughter. I also ordered the 4 letter version. When I am looking for educational tools, Lakeshore Learning is my preferred vendor. I am an educator by background, so I am impressed with this company’s learning tools-educationally sound, versatile across age groups and skill levels. This learning tool is so usable for preschoolers and readers. Keep these products coming....please.

My son who was 3 when I purchased this, has pulled this out many times to play with. Its much better if a adult plays with the child so that they can read the words at first. Then they will memorize the picture to the word (example jet instead of airplane). He likes to play with them alone as well since they are very easy to put together. Its a good learning toy for matching colors, puzzle skills, and helps them visually remember the word to go with the picture. He is just about to turn 4 and still pulls these out.

This helps my 3 year old son recognize what letters spell these common words and he loves puzzles. Awesome learning material! Updated Jan. 7 2021...this is a review for zingo bingo. I'm not sure why its saying poshwag doggy toothbrush lol. I got my now 6 year old son the zingo word builder and we love it!

I've used these for several years in special ed. Moved to a different school district and bought my own set so I could continue using them in my classroom.
